The work consists of furnishing all labor, equipment, material, electrical power, and traffic control necessary for treating those sections of sanitary sewers specified in the contract documents with a chemical root control agent capable of killing roots within the sewer line and inhibiting their regrowth without permanently damaging the vegetation producing the roots, or disrupting wastewater treatment plant processes. The city reserves the right to delete work from this project without additional compensation to the contractor, so that total project cost does not exceed budgeted funds. The Contractor must comply with federal, state, and local laws and ordinances, with special attention to those laws and ordinances pertaining to the handling, transportation, and use of any hazardous materials, and disposal of all pesticide containers.
