• The project budget is not to exceed $360,000. All proposals will be evaluated for cost-effectiveness while meeting all project requirements. • The total square footage of the Nature Center and Foyer is 1,170 square feet. a. Nature Center Space is 800 square feet. b. Foyer Space is 370 square feet. • The exhibits shall be designed to fit into the current space of the Nature Center and Foyer area. • New flooring will be installed before the installation of exhibits and will be performed outside this scope of service. • Brown County will be responsible for removal of existing exhibits. • The exhibits will utilize, if needed, the current electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems. Needed updates to any of the utilities listed will be required to be designed and installed at the expense of the selected firm. • The nature center sites atop a crawl space for access to electrical and other utilities. Light weight design will be important through the process in order to eliminate any structural engineering concerns. • Topics that will be addressed by the exhibits will include, but are not limited to: a. History of the park, b. Northern pike spawning, c. Importance of wetlands and management of wetlands, d. Natural history of the West shore of Green Bay, e. Waterfowl, f. Animal and Plant Identification, g. Seasonal display. • A structure/space for 6-10 small live animal enclosures a. For various local animals including, but not limited to, small reptiles and amphibians, b. Will allow for maintenance for park staff, c. Be visually appealing for visitors. • Exhibits will be interactive as much as possible throughout the nature center/foyer, • Several exhibits will have a strong technology interactive aspect, • One larger centerpiece exhibit for the center of the nature center, • A small sitting area for visitors to read and use small games or other hands on activities, • Brown County will not accept any change orders, unless requested by owner, • Design is expected to be completed by October 2025, • Build and installation work to be completed by November/December 2025 or by August 2026, a. Build and installation can only take place during the months of November/December or June/July/August. • The Proposer shall organize at least one onsite meeting to start the process. Other, routine and regular meetings with Brown County Park staff may be performed virtually or in person to assess progress on the plan and inventory and discuss any updates to the project schedule. This item also includes invoicing, email coordination, and other administrative tasks for the project. No limit shall be placed on revisions and updates through the process and as requested by Brown County, • The selected firm must be able to provide a high level of knowledge and experience to complete the tasks in this Request for Proposals.
