Specifications include, but are not limited to:Brown County Parks is looking to develop a one (1) year Private/Public partnership bike/ski rental program. Brown County is looking for a vendor(s) to provide a bike and/or ski rental fleet and services according to the following specifications. Final agreement is negotiable. The vendor(s) may provide one or both of the rental services. Legal/Liability coverage o Vendors insurance shall cover Participant and Bike/Skis (all gear). o Vendor insurance coverage shall meet all county minimum requirements as detailed in attached insurance coverage requirements. o Brown County shall be listed as additionally insured on vendor insurance coverage. o Participants shall sign a “participant to vendor” rental agreement. o Participant shall sign a liability waiver provided by the vendor. o Vendor’s waiver shall indemnify Brown County and Parks Management of all injuries and incidents related to rental program. o Bikes/skis will be maintained by Vendor. Vendor will assume all liability for bike/ski operating condition. o Vendor shall provide safety equipment as needed as part of the rental. (i.e. bike helmets) Finances o Vendor commission and recommended Rental Rates shall be agreed upon in final contract. o Bikes/skis shall be rented to public at the following rates ranges: Hourly: $8-10 per bike or skis, per person including safety gear Half Day:$20-25 per bike or skis, per person including safety gear (3-hour maximum) o Vendor shall detail what rental fee is charged for equipment as well as commission rate. o County would expect to see a minimum commission of 40-50% of rental program gross revenue. o All financial transactions are run through the Reforestation Camp point of sale system. o Vendor cannot handle any financial transactions. o At the end of each month the Reforestation Camp staff will run a revenue report and compensate vendor the agreed upon amount through remittance check
