The objective of this funding opportunity is to help schools build capacity and prepare for asthma programming implementation including: Stock Asthma Medication or Idle-Free Schools. The overall goal is to assist schools in providing effective asthma management to help students with asthma stay healthy, learn better, and participate fully during the school day. We expect successful applicants to do the following during the grant period, by 8/31/2026: Obtain school administration approval for the selected asthma activity (one activity per school); Develop internal capacity and implement activities during the 2025-2026 school year (see Appendix A for specific activity expectations); Participate in discussions with Wisconsin Asthma Program staff regarding project implementation as needed; Participate in discussions with Wisconsin Asthma Program staff and/or other grantees to discuss progress as needed; Provide an update on successes, challenges, and outcomes at the Wisconsin Asthma Coalition Fall 2026 meeting; Complete the Final Outcomes Report (template will be provided by the Wisconsin Asthma Program) Wisconsin Asthma Program staff will be available to provide technical assistance to grantees by phone, e-mail, or in-person.
