Specifications include, but are not limited to: Snow Removal and Ice Control Contract for the roads within the Village of Waukesha. Snow Flurries Trace to 1” No plowing. Salt intersections, hills, railroad crossings and curves if deemed necessary by DPW employees only. Snow 1”-2” Begin plowing. Salt intersections, hills, railroad crossings, and curves. Determine if contractor needs to be called or if DPW can handle. Snow 2”-5” Contractor called. Continue to plow, keeping at least 1 (one) passable lane open, 2 (two) when possible while continuing to salt intersections, hills, railroad crossings and curves. Snow 6”+ Continue plowing to keep the passable lane open for emergency vehicle traffic. Ice ¼” or less Salt intersections, hills, railroad crossings and curves. Ice over ¼” Salt all streets. If deemed unsafe call snow emergency.
