Specifications include, but are not limited to: Sample Handling System must have automated sample handling, including mixing and cap-piercing capability for at least 25 samples. System must be able to automatically mix, sample and analyze calibration and control materials. Sample Management System must have the following: Must have Fail-Safe or equal sample management system. Must have positive tube identification (tube bar-code read at time of aspiration). Must have positive cassette/position identification (cassette and position bar-code read at time of aspiration). Sample Volume-System shall perform the following: Will require 185ul (micro liter) whole blood for analysis in the automated (cap-piercing) mode. Will require 125ul sample in the manual or pre-dilute mode of a 1:3 dilution (minimum 50ul whole blood). Will require 50ul whole blood with 4 drops reagent A and 2ml (milliliter) reagent B for retic mode. Must have automatic probe wipe and wash in manual mode. Must have dual sample aspiration verifiers. Must have specimen integrity check during and after aspiration. System must have Positive Barcode ID System must have bar code capabilities. System must have 2 identification fields, each of which can be alphanumeric or alpha or numeric up to 16 characters. System must have a bar coded cassette number and position for additional audit trail allowing operator to easily identify the tube if further review is necessary.
