Mingo County Schools is soliciting proposals from qualified vendors to supply an operator to maintain five (5) wastewater treatment plants. Locations include Dingess Elementary School, Gilbert PK-8 School, Kermit PK-8 School, Lenore PK-8 School and Tug Valley High School. This should include the following scope of services/work: Operations • Operate and monitor pumps, motors, valves, blowers, and other mechanical systems. • Adjust flow rates and chemical dosing to maintain treatment efficiency. • Control and monitor the flow and processing of wastewater, sludge, and effluents. • Operate chemical feed systems and UV disinfection units. Sampling & Testing • Collect influent and effluent samples. • Perform basic laboratory testing (e.g., pH, chlorine residuals, dissolved oxygen, TSS). • Record and report results to ensure compliance with NPDES permit limits. Maintenance • Conduct preventive maintenance of equipment (e.g., pumps, motors, UV lights). • Perform minor repairs and report major issues. • Clean and service tanks, filters, and bar screens. Compliance & Reporting • Maintain logs and records of operational data. • Submit Discharge Monitoring Reports (DMRs). • Ensure compliance with WVDEP and WVDHHR regulations. • Follow WV Legislative Rule 64CSR5 for operator certification
