Specifications include, but are not limited to: The purpose of this request is to provide enterprise wide data backups for all Gwinnett County technology platforms. The current Tivoli Storage Manager (TSM) system provides the needed backup functionality and structure, but lacks the performance and throughput required for current and future server backups and restores. In order to meet the growing backup and recovery needs on countywide distributed systems, this bid will encompass the hardware, software, and conversion needed to migrate the current TSM platform from an IBM AIX P650 server, to an IBM AIX P570 server that will meet our backup and recovery needs for at least the next three years. Purchase and lease pricing will be accepted for hardware solutions. Lease pricing is preferred and should include options for 36-month lease, 48-month lease, & 60-month lease, as well as estimated purchase price at the end of lease. The current TSM configuration is as follows: TSM Release TSM 5.3.2 with Disaster Recovery module Number of Processor Client Licenses (E0019LL) 539 total including current configuration conversion TDP's Oracle (22) (E008ZLL) Microsoft Exchange (7) SAN (48) (E001DLL) ERP MGD PROC (77) (E009NLL) Hardware Platform IBM p650 Server Tape Platform - IBM 3584 LTO L32 and 1 D32 Expansion Library with 8 LTO2 drives. Software package that will facilitate detailed reporting, monitoring, and configuration of the TSM software.
