Specifications include, but are not limited to: Snow Removal – The vendor shall remove and clear all snow from required areas at any time snowfall is forecasted. Required areas are as follows: parking lot, driveway, and sidewalks. The Vendor shall provide snow removal of a minimum of 2” accumulated snow. Snow shall be left on-site and moved to a designated area that will be determined by the Building and Grounds Supervisor or his designee. Vendor must be on site within one (2) hour from time of notification from Building and Grounds Supervisor or his designee. Vendor must provide an emergency telephone number and must be accessible via the emergency number 24 hours a day and 365 days a year, excluding State recognized holidays. See exhibit B for complete list of holidays. Vendor shall take necessary precautions to avoid property damage to vehicles, shrubbery, sidewalks, structures, or buildings adjacent to the areas where snow is being removed. Vendor shall also use necessary precautions to avoid damaging of property when treating areas with ice/snow melting formula. Vendor must ensure that removed snow does not block access to walkways, handicap ramps, handicap parking spaces or other specially marked parking spaces, fire hydrant, and utility or generator access points. Access piles of snow may be requested to be removed during a major snowfall event or prolonged period of snow. This may involve physical removal of snow from site. APPLICATION OF DEICING SOLUTION Vendor must monitor snowfall or icy conditions. At any time when snow or ice continues, or is forecasted to accumulate, all required areas must be cleared of snow and deicer is to be reapplied by 7:00 AM Monday through Friday, excluding State recognized Holidays. Vendor shall respond to special requests and treatment made by the Building and Grounds Supervisor within two (2) hour of the request. Vendor must apply deicer (sodium chloride, calcium chloride, brine mix) solution/agent when deemed necessary. The product should not be harmful to the environment. MSDS sheets shall be given to the Agency upon request. Application of deicing solutions must be applied immediately following snow removal. Application shall be required in the following areas: parking lot, and sidewalks. All Equipment and chemicals used for snow removal must be in conformance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations. Vendor will be responsible for supplying all tools, labor, equipment, permits, and personal safety equipment to execute this contract.
