Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. Provides supervision and direction to all reporting personnel and recommends and oversees theSection 8 Housing Program operations and budget. Duties involve all supervisory responsibilitiesincluding staff selection, training , monitoring workflow performance, problem resolution, performanceappraisals, policy development and implementation, etc. Works directly with staff in assuring prompt andcourteous service to clients during both the application and on-going Section 8 program operations.Reviews and/or audits file records, computer records, and performs periodic unit inspections to monitoraccuracy and to insure consistency in the execution of program policies and procedures. Provides all qualitycontrol activities, including HQS inspections, as required under the Section Eight Management AssessmentProgram (SEMAP). Recommends and oversees the Section 8 Housing Program leasing activity and budget.2. Responsible for the ongoing interpretation of federal regulations regarding program policies,development of required policy/procedure changes for local Board approval, and the implementationof revised policies and procedures for applicable housing programs. Analyzes federal regulations anddetermines required changes to local policy. Prepares policy changes requiring Board adoption or approval.Communicates directly with staff to effectively implement such changes in a timely and efficient manner.Reviews proposed regulations and prepares comments to assist Director of Section 8 and ExecutiveDirector in the development and submittal of official agency comments
