Specifications include, but are not limited to: The West Virginia Purchasing Division is soliciting bids on behalf of the West Virginia Department of Environmental Protection Office of Special Reclamation (OSR) to establish an open-end contract for mowing, herbicide spraying and snow removal. Locations for services are in Northern West Virginia. Counties included: Barbour, Harrison, Upshur, Taylor, Tucker, Monongalia, Marion, Preston, Randolph, Lewis, Grant, Mineral & Gilmer. The majority of the work will be within forty (40) miles of Rowlesburg, WV. 3.4.1 Vendor shall provide all equipment, transportation, labor, materials, and supplies for mowing, trim mowing, road mowing and heavy brush removal of all vegetation including but not limited to roadways, pond banks, diversion ditches, right of ways. 3.4.2 Vegetation shall be mowed to the lowest height possible without causing any damage to the mowing equipment or ground surface. 3.4.3 Work for this line item may be on steep slopes greater than 1.5 to 1. 3.4.4 One foot of road mowing shall include both sides of the road mowed at a distance from the road’s edge of five (5) feet. 3.5 Broad Herbicide Application and Trim Herbicide Applications, 3.5.1 Vendor shall provide all equipment, transportation, labor, materials, and supplies for the application of an EPA approved herbicides to areas as instructed by project manager.
