Specifications include, but are not limited to: Gwinnett County Solid Waste Program Assessment Study. Evaluate solid waste service delivery options for unincorporated Gwinnett County. This will include a review of thecurrent program; industry best practices; State of Georgia requirements; peer governments; recycling capabilities, requirements, and options; and development of and assistance with public forums to hear the opinions and recommendations of Gwinnett County citizens concerning how the County's solid waste program should be operated in the future. Review the requirements of the Solid Waste Management Plan (the Plan) adopted by the Board of Commissioners on April 22, 2008 (Attachment A), and the results of the study leading to the Plan. Evaluate the Plan in regard to its compliance with applicable Georgia Law, as found in OCGA 12-8-24 to 12-8-59. Develop recommendations for updates or modifications to the Plan that may be required as a result of the adoption of a revised Solid Waste Ordinance upon completion of this study.
