Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Authority will use these systems for producing salt brine to be used as a pre-wetting agent onrock salt and as an anti-icing agent on the roadway. These systems shall be fully automated in theproduction of quality salt brine; there shall be no manual input for salinity testing, monitoring,adjustments or transfer of brine to the storage tank. The only manual input shall be to add rocksalt to the system for salt brine production. Systems comprised of made-up components whichrequire non-standard or unsafe alterations to the main system will not be considered. The vendormust certify that the proposed system is offered commercially as a standard package on themarket. The vendor must certify that the unit is currently in use and must provide references forthe Authority to ascertain the operational effectiveness of the system
