Specifications include, but are not limited to: A. HVAC System Component Inspections and Site Preparations 1. Scheduled Periodic Inspections The Contractor shall perform periodic inspections with the King County Project Representative to determine cleaning needs. Periodic inspections shall be planned and scheduled in advance to accommodate Contractor and King County Project Representative work schedules. 2. Urgent Inspections and Cleaning The Contractor shall respond in a timely manner, within 48 hours’ notice, to inspect systems with urgent cleaning needs as situations arise at the treatment plants and pump stations. Notice of urgent, unscheduled inspections will be communicated by the King County Project Representative. 3. Following an inspection, the Contractor shall prepare a proposal that includes a summary of the conditions found and a plan for cleaning proposed systems, including site preparations required for the work. B. General HVAC System Cleaning Requirements 1. Clean HVAC system internal surfaces, components, and condensate collectors and drains, including the following: a. Air Handling units; b. Air-Volume Control Devises; c. Variable Air Volume (VAV); d. Duct boxes; e. Exhaust fans; f. Ceiling Sections.
