Specifications include, but are not limited to: Removal and Refresh an estimated 19,506 square feet of thermoplastic crosswalks in Schedule A; 20,089 square feet of thermoplastic crosswalks in Schedule B and 4,141 linear feet of thermoplastic stop bar in Schedule A; 9,315 linear feet of thermoplastic stop bar in Schedule B. Work to be performed at intersections and mid-block crossings throughout the City. (Attachment B, Crosswalk and Stop Bar Inventory listing; Schedule A-Ratings 0-2 and Schedule B-Ratings 3). 2. Remove and Refresh entire surface of marking with new thermoplastic. Existing pavement markings shall be replaced the same day, in the same location with identical markings. Marking layouts that do not meet current applicable codes shall be removed and replaced to be compliant. Locations of the markings to be removed and replaced are shown in the plans. Questions about which markings to be removed and replaced should be resolved with the Engineer prior to the Work being performed. If the replaced pavement markings are placed on the same workday as the existing markings are removed, no temporary markings are required. If existing markings are not replaced on the same workday, temporary pavement marking tape shall be placed in accordance with Section 8-23.3(2)B until the permanent marking is constructed.
