Able to professionally interface with leadership staff and handle confidential matters.Accounting Specialist: Performs accounting support and bookkeeping duties, such as processing funds and accounts related to areas such as accounts receivable, accounts payable, utility billing, budget monitoring, revenue or related processes. Reviews accounting and financial data from various sources, compiles reports, conducts data audits, runs statements, researches and reconciles discrepancies. Able to classify, enter and retrieve data from computerized financial systems. Requires a high degree of interaction with the public, other jurisdictions and internal departments, mostly via phone and electronic methods. Responds to inquiries and resolves complaints, communicating in professional, clear and accurate manner, demonstrating excellent customer service. Engineer: Knowledge of professional engineering concepts, principles, practices and standards to accomplish municipal civil engineering projects in structural, traffic, or environmental areas. Reviews designs and plans, gathers and compiles data, tracks and manages projects. Knowledgeable of applicable local regulations and codes, as well as federal and state laws and regulations. Preparesconstruction documents, including scope of work, project budgets and plans and specifications, including drafting when needed. Demonstrates skill in engineering contract management and RFP and bidding processes. Provides review of engineering plans, reports and calculations submitted by customers or consultants. Utilizes GIS/CAD systems. May visit construction sites, participate in various technical committees, study groups or task forces, and may develop and deliver presentations related to projects. Requires Bachelor’s degree in engineering and Professional Engineer license preferred.
