Improvements for the Stride BRT S3 Line in the City of Kenmore and the City of Bothell. Within Kenmore the Project will include the following: six station platforms along SR 522 with associated paving, curbs, sidewalks, structural foundations, and utilities, and transit signal priority equipment to the existing traffic signals at intersections along SR 522. In Bothell the Project will include: eight stations platforms on city streets similar to the platforms in Kenmore, transit signal priority equipment to the existing traffic signals along the route, new traffic signals at two intersections on NE 185th ST, a new mid-block signalized crosswalk across Beardslee Blvd near UW Bothell/Cascadia College, and additional sidewalk improvements. A new center queue bypass lane will be installed in Bothell on SR 522, including soldier pile and tie back retaining walls, underground electric duct banks, sidewalks, and other utility improvements. The Project in both cities also includes paving, landscaping restoration, relocation of existing utilities, improvements to the existing stormwater management systems, and removing and disposing of any contaminated substances encountered.
