Whatcom County is soliciting statements of qualification from qualified agencies or individuals to build a list of providers to facilitate the delivery of services, including evaluations and treatment, for the Special Sex Offender Disposition Alternative (SSODA) program through Whatcom County Juvenile Court. SSODA is an alternative to a standard juvenile disposition which allows the court to impose and suspend a sentence in favor of community-based services and treatment for eligible juvenile sex offenders under RCW 13.40.162. Contractors selected to deliver services under SSODA will be required to meet the certification requirements for sex offender treatment providers outlined in Chapter 18.155 RCW and Chapter 246-930 of the Washington Administrative Code.
