Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Project consists of improvements to the Maintenance Equipment Building and Meter Shop at the Seattle Public Utilities (SPU) Operations Control Center at 2700 Airport Way South. These are separate buildings on the same parcel. At the Maintenance Equipment Building, improvements include structural upgrades, roof replacement, hazardous materials abatement, roof access ladder replacement, addition of a roof fall protection system, and associated mechanical and electrical work. At the Meter Shop, improvements include HVAC unit replacement, roof replacement, removal and reinstallation of existing metal siding with new components at exterior walls, minor interior finish work, and associated mechanical and electrical work. The Owner will occupy and use the Operations Control Center throughout the Project. Work at the Maintenance Equipment Building will require Contractor access from the parcel to the north of the Operations Control Center property. The Owner will secure an agreement for the Contractor to access the building from the north for execution of the work.
