Specifications include, but are not limited to: Installation and repair of engineered fall protection systems, building envelope related systems, and may include replacement or repair of roofs & canopies. The work will be on an as needed basis and will be detailed in the Port of Seattle issued Work Authorization. The Work Authorization may include the applicable specifications for the work required. The Contractor must be proficient in all (or be able to subcontract for) the following roof systems, material applications and installation of fall protection, and meet the standard of “Competent Person” in accordance with current OSHA Standards: 1. Systems: Single Ply Membrane, PVC Membrane Roofing, Hypalon Roofing Membrane, EPDM (Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer) Roof Membrane, TPO (Thermoplastic Polyolefin) Single-ply Roofing. 2. Personal fall arrest protection: installation and repair of arrest protection systems consisting of anchorage, connectors, cable systems, and body harness, and may include a deceleration device, lifeline, or suitable combinations. 3. Coatings: Fibered emulsion coatings, Fibered asphalt coatings, Reflective aluminum coatings, Reflective elastomeric coatings. 4. Standing seam metal roofs. 5. Siding: wood and/or metal siding systems and building wrap systems. 6. Sealants & Waterproofing: Associated with general building envelope restoration and/or sealing & waterproofing fall protection anchorage points. 7. Painting: Paint coatings associated with restoration of original or better conditions in association with building envelope work or fall protection installation or repair. The contract will be awarded for an estimated amount not to exceed $300,000.00, which includes Washington State Sales Tax.
