Assessment and Analysis: • Analyze and evaluate the City of Redmond’s existing signage and wayfinding system as it relates to parks, trails, recreation and City facilities. • Compile a comprehensive inventory of current signage and wayfinding located inside parks, at park facilities, on trails and signage and wayfinding that directs users to parks, trails and park facilities from surrounding streets. • Identify system gaps or inconsistencies. • Provide recommendations for addressing deficiencies, updating or removing existing signage, and identifying opportunities for enhancement and future improvements. Implementation Plan: Identify and prioritize opportunities and locations for wayfinding improvements, including recommendations for City-wide applications and integration in a phased format that aligns with CIP and budget biennia. Design Standards Sign Types: Develop a categorized list of sign types based on use and intent. Graphics: Provide guidelines for typography, color palettes, iconography, and branding elements to ensure consistency and clarity. Materials: Provide recommendations for durable, weather-resistant, and sustainable materials suitable for long-term outdoor use.
