The City of Tacoma Public Works Department is seeking to contract with a traffic count firm that can provide on-call services for various projects and program needs. This contract shall be utilized on an on-call basis. When the City requires traffic count services, a Public Works representative will request a price estimate based off vendor’s supplied rate sheet. A task authorization will be issed as a notice to proceed. The scope of services for traffic data collection may include speed, volume (pedestrians, bicyclists, cars), classification, and turning movements. All reporting must conform to the following format: • Each traffic count location deliverable will contain a .pdf report and digital data file, and a summary data file. o All files provided will use the City of Tacoma’s naming convention. o All traffic count locations will be identified using the City of Tacoma’s identification naming convention.
