MUSIC PROGRAMMING 2.1.1. Artist Sourcing – recruit and solicit artist’s applications from various sources which could include: 2.1.1.1. Local professional music organizations, symphonies, chorales, etc. 2.1.1.2. Public & private schools 2.1.1.3. Pacific Northwest Chapter of the Recording Academy 2.1.1.4. Area venues & talent buyers – theaters, clubs, agencies, etc. 2.1.2. Artist Selection/Screening 2.1.2.1. Recruit known qualifying musicians from the Puget Sound region. Known qualifying musicians shall mean those demonstrating a music style and content that is appropriate and appealing for all ages and diversity of audience. 2.1.2.2. Contractor will have a system in place and a method to address inquiries from interested artists who would like the opportunity to perform in the airport. 2.1.2.3. Review audio/visual submission and select qualifying musicians. Those musicians deemed “qualified” by Contractor must then be approved by the Project Manager for the Port prior to being scheduled. An audio file or video clip will be supplied to PORT Project Manager for initial review. An airport terminal audition for qualified musicians will be required for final approval. 2.1.2.4. Qualifying and approved musicians must complete a formal application/musician agreement, along with required Port of Seattle forms, to be added to an on-line scheduling system. 2.1.3. Performance Criteria 2.1.3.1. Frequency – 7 days Sunday through Saturday 2.1.3.2. Time – Minimum Four (4) musicians/2-hour segments per day to be determined based on peak traffic periods, generally between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. However, Port would like to grow the program to increase the number of musicians and performance segments...
