Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1.Fire alarm systems shall be tested in accordance with NFPA 72. a.Buildings with two fire panels will have a separate report for each. The word “ALL” will not be used in place of # of units tested. There will be a specific # of units tested. b.Duct smoke detectors will have their cover removed and tested with smoke to make sure the HVAC unit stops. The annunciator for the duct detector will be used to reset the duct detector. c.The fire panel will be reset after each alarm point is tested. This will test the alarm paging system for each alarm. 2.Sprinkler systems shall be tested in accordance with NFPA 25. a.Upon completion of water flow testing, a report from the alarm center, indicating all water flow alarms were received, will become part of the fire alarm report. 3.Additionally, all confidence testing shall comply with the local authority having jurisdiction. One copy of the test form shall be filed with the AHJ, one copy given to Bellevue College, Office of Public Safety and one copy for the purchasing department.
