Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Northwest Museum of Arts & Culture is seeking a contractor to provide groundskeeping and snow removal/sanding/de-icing services for its 4.23 acre campus. A. Mow lawn and perform line trimming and blowing of clippings (and disposal of clippings) weekly beginning approximately April 1st thru approximately October 31st. Preferred day for these services, weather permitting, is Mondays when museum is closed to the public. B. Perform application of an initial pre-emergent weed control. C. Apply weed control and fertilizer on lawns 3 times per growing season. D. Apply weed control and fertilizer to shrubs and beds 2 times per growing season. E. Apply pest control on all trees and shrubs 2 times per growing season. F. Prune shrubs, including small tree limbs along sidewalks. Dispose of fallen and pruned limbs. G. Perform spring cleaning of the parking strips, garages and driveways. H. Perform fall cleaning – remove and dispose of leaves throughout the fall. I. Aerate the lawn once per growing season. J. Turn on and check sprinkler system in the spring. K. Blow-out and turn-off sprinkler system at the conclusion of the growing season. L. Weed flower and shrub beds every other week during growing season. M. Maintain Amphitheather raised beds and Native Grass and Shrub trail twice per growing season, in May and September. N. When 2” or more of snowfall occurs after or before business hours, (business hours are daily 8:30 a.m. through 5 p.m. except on legal holidays or as otherwise communicated), remove snow from the parking lots, driveways, sidewalks, and stairs before commencement of business hours, and apply sand and/or de-icer as needed. AGENCY facilities staff will take care of snow removal/sanding/de-icing during business hours. Note: AGENCY is open to public 6 days per week with exception of legal holidays, and employees work at AGENCY on the 7th day, so snow removal services are needed 7 days per week unless it is a legal holiday.
