Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Historic Dvorak Barn was recently braced, lifted, and relocated to a new location by a house moving company, Nickel Bros. This concrete foundation and structural wood framing project will include all necessary steps to construct of a reinforced cement concrete foundation for the barn and to complete its interior structural wood framing. The barn footprint, which includes an attached lean-to structure, is roughly 50-feet wide and 45-feet long, and approximately 2300 SF in size. The barn is two stories tall and roughly 37-feet in height. As the barn is currently resting on steel beams and wood cribbing at its permanent location, the work will include excavation for the foundation, forming and pouring the foundation, attaching the barn to its foundation, and completion of the internal structural wood framing. All of this work will occur while working around the barn’s steel beams and wood cribbing. Once the foundation is poured and cured around the barn, coordination with Nickel Bros. will be necessary for Nickel Bros to remove the wood cribbing, steel support beams, and other materials used in bracing the barn for its move. The project also includes site grading, hydroseed, a cyclone fence, and removal of an adjacent underground storage tank. The project site will be open for viewing by bidders on July 25, 2019 from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM.
