Specifications include, but are not limited to: Activity 1 Fund and support leadership opportunities/training; sustain involvement of those already trained and expand new graduates using DDC curriculum and other resources. Develop strategies to teach the history of the IDD civil rights movement and values, especially as related to community supports and services. Activity 2 Recruit and train people from targeted disparity populations; i.e., newly diagnosed/new people coming into the system; rural, ethnic, culturally and economically diverse populations. Activity 3 Using surveys and other data, determine base line in year one and determine metrics by which sustained leadership development is measured for at least 8 months after the end of the contract.
