Specifications include, but are not limited to: The City of Sumner has secured grant funding for the delineation of a bike route between the Sumner Sound Transit Station and Wood Avenue. The alignment is anticipated to be within Academy Street right-of-way and/or a parallel City street. The project will likely involve the reconstruction of curbs, sidewalks, signage, street striping, and utilities to accommodate the bike lanes. The work to be performed by the Consultant consists of supporting the City in selection of a project alignment, engineering design of improvements, and other professional services. Specific tasks envisioned include, but are not limited to: • Preparation of a technical memorandum documenting the final alignment selected by the City. • Permitting assistance including preparation of a SEPA. • Topographic and boundary survey of the proposed alignment. Provide verification that no additional right of way will be necessary to construct the project. • Design of grading, storm, sidewalks, curbs, signage, street striping, landscaping, and roadway improvements. The final design shall be suitable for a public bid solicitation by the City. • Preparation of project cost estimates. • Bidding Assistance • Construction Management Services • Construction testing and inspection This solicitation will likely have separate design and construction management phases associated with the project. Respondents may include sub-consultants within their project team.
