Specifications include, but are not limited to: o furnish Pierce County with 100% Acrylic Waterborne Traffic Line Paint, in both white and yellow colors, in the following three types: 1) Rapid Dry; 2) High Build; and 3) Cold Weather. The Traffic Line Paint shall be consistent with the specifications provided in this Bid. Pavement marking traffic paints shall meet or exceed Technical Specifications for waterborne traffic paint, consistent with these provisions. The paints incorporate 100% acrylic waterborne emulsion technology known to give superior durability and bead binding capability. Applied at ambient temperature (77°F/50% RH), a 15 mil wet line shall dry track-free in 30 to 90 seconds when applied to either asphalt or Portland Cement Concrete. The paints can be applied hot or cold with waterborne compatible striping equipment. • Quality Assurance: The bidder may be required to provide manufacturer certification in writing that the materials offered have been tested in accordance with the standards listed in this Bid. Pierce County reserves the right to request this additional product information prior to or after award and will be the sole judge for approving products offered. This Bid covers three types of low volatile organic compound (VOC), ready-mixed, one component, 100% acrylic waterborne traffic line paint. • Type 1: Rapid Dry Waterborne Traffic Line Paint Type • 2: High Build Waterborne Traffic Line Paint Type • 3: Cold Weather Waterborne Traffic Line Paint Each paint type may be applied to either asphaltic or Portland Cement Concrete pavements. Each paint type shall be available in two colors, white and yellow, and shall be furnished as specified in this Bid.
