Specifications include, but are not limited to: Removal of approximately 10” of existing base/subgrade material. Grade control: Top of Existing Curb Lines. Finished paved surface: 4” below top of curbs. Pend Oreille County will cut and remove the existing HMA surfacing. Pend Oreille County will provide a disposal site for all removed material within 2 miles of project site. Subgrade shall be graded and compacted prior to items b-e. b) Install non-woven construction fabric over graded, compacted subgrade. Fabric specifications shall be submitted to County Engineer for approval prior to construction. c) Place and compact 6” of base gravel. Base gravel shall be 2.5” or 3” minus crushed material. Contractor shall submit the gradation specification to the County Engineer for approval. d) Place and compact 4” of top course for leveling. Top course gravel shall be 5/8”or 3/4” minus crushed material. Contractor shall submit the gradation specification to the County Engineer for approval. e) Place and compact 2” finished Hot Mix Asphalt. HMA shall be 1/2” Commercial Grade. Contractor shall submit mix design to the County Engineer for review/approval. f) Contractor shall provide grade control throughout all phases of this project to ensure proper drainage to existing structures or natural ground contours. g) Soil sterilizer shall be applied on entire paving footprint prior to HMA placement
