• Navigating to pre-defined plot locations using DNR provided coordinates (Garmin GPX file and/or map data called from within DNR Data Collector app). • Interacting with electronic devices (GPS, camera) via Bluetooth and/or Wi-Fi using the DNR provided Android tablet. • Monumentation of the plot center, visibly marking the plot center with flagging, and recording the established plot center location using DNR provided high-precision GPS (Javad Triumph-2 GNSS Receiver) and a tripod. • Measuring live and dead trees within nested fixed-radius plots. • Stem mapping trees on subplots (plot types 2 and 3) within each estimation plot, including estimation plots located outside of validation blocks and estimation plots located inside validation blocks. Stem mapping will not be conducted for variable radius validation plots. • Tagging up to two (2) trees with uniquely numbered (within a plot) tags for monumentation. • Collecting up to two (2) increment cores at each plot in uniquely labelled core straws. • Measuring canopy cover along five (5) transects using a Moosehorn device (not provided). • Measuring canopy closure at four (4) points using a spherical densiometer (not provided).
