Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Port is soliciting proposals from firms interested in providing state-of-the-art software technology, and design and implementation services for a website content management system (CMS). The firm will also provide hosting services and ongoing support services. The scope of this project includes: 1. Work with Port Communications Department and its marketing agency to develop graphic design of the Ports Internet website to increase user involvement, make it easier to find information (navigation) and enhance the appearance of pages in accordance with the Ports branding guidelines (Attachment E). 2. Improve the user experience conduct usability testing to validate the effectiveness of the new design and navigation. 3. Simplify creating and editing Web content through templates. 4. Optimize content viewing across multiple platforms and devices. 5. Follow the best practices of separating content from presentation to allow changes to graphic design over time without rewrite of the Web content.
