Host space/s in the university district that are in service of providing support and resources for YYA with lived or living experience of homelessness. Support collaborative efforts to provide services and resources to community members in line with the mission of the Doorway Project. Inform and co-create a model of service delivery for homeless youth and young adults that centers the voices and experiences of YYA with lived or living experience. Engage and supervise with the UW Community Engaged Leadership and Education Center students in internships, practicums, or other placements at the leading organization and subcontracting partners in a service setting to provide direct service to youth and young adults. Leverage the expertise of the UW community to support YYA experiencing homelessness at the host agencies (e.g., hosting pop up clinics from UW/HMC Youth Clinic, collaborate with UW students on projects that provide bi-directional learning opportunities, etc.). Provide an array of services and case management to meet the needs of YYA in the University District, including but not limited to: Engaging YYA in services through outreach conducted on the street and at an onsite service center developed in partnership with the University of Washington. Outreach should engage YYA in services that help them achieve stable housing, permanent connections, education and employment, social and emotional wellbeing, and family reconciliation (if warranted). Providing directly or through referral, services such as housing, food, clothing, hygiene, healthcare, counseling and mental health services, drug and alcohol treatment, educational and employment opportunities, etc. Partnering with community organizations and providers who have a presence in and around the University District to ensure service provision and engagement of YYA
