The Umptanum Post Fire thinning restoration Project is located approximately 14 miles West of Ellensburg. It is part of the WDFW Wenas Wildlife Area in Yakima County. The units are located in part of Sections 3 of Township 16 North, Range 17 East W.M. See attached project maps for detailed views).
