1. This specification describes Washington State Department of Transportation’s requirements for a Cab and Chassis. II. Chassis, Load capacity and Measurements: 1. Chassis load rating shall be 40,000 lbs. (GVWR). 2. Wheelbase shall be 175-181 inches with a set forward axle. State Wheel Base 3. Cab to Axle (CA) shall be 96 inches clear. 4. Bumper to Back of Cab (Excluding extension) shall be within the range of 107 inches to 114 inches. III. Frame: 1. The entire length of the frame rails shall be full depth, including an integral front frame extension. Extension to be a minimum of 20 inches in length. 2. Both frame rails, from front to rear, shall have a section modulus of 26. and a RBM of 3.100,000 in. lbs. 3. The section modulus at the engine cut outs shall be equal to or greater than 18.00 and a RBM of 2,000,000 in. lbs. 4. The frame rails will be treated with at least 2 mils of two-part epoxy primer and 2 mils of top coat finish paint. Totaling 4 mils. The powder coat process will exceed this requirement. 5. There shall be no holes or bolts in the top flange of the frame rails. 6. The left frame shall be clear, between the fuel tank and the front hanger of the rear spring assembly. 7. A front cross member shall be positioned and drilled to accommodate the mounting of a hydraulic pump and lines, without further modification. The pintle hitch must be Premier 370EL or approved equal with air service chamber 8. Shall have a black steel swept back front bumper.
