Specifications include, but are not limited to: City will provide consultant with mapped areas to perform tree health and risk assessment.; Consultant (Certified Arborist – Tree Risk Assessment Qualified (TRAQ)) will perform level 1 visual tree inspections of trees greater than 12” DBH within mapped areas to identify trees of poor health and/or high risk. Only trees within reach of high-risk targets will be evaluated. Within reach is defined as 1.5 times the tree height. • Consultant (Certified Arborist – Tree Risk Assessment Qualified (TRAQ)) will perform level 2 formal ISA tree health risk assessment on trees identified as having a “probable” or “imminent” likelihood of failure. The specified period for the risk assessment is one year. • Consultant will use GPS equipment to map the location of each tree identified as having a “probable” or “imminent” likelihood of failure. Each tree will be mapped to within 3 feet of its actual location to be utilized in an ArcGIS system. All tree assessment data shall be delivered in Microsoft Excel and ESRI file geodatabase formats. ESRI data should be in the coordinate system of NAD 1983 HARN State Plane Washington North FIPS 4601 (US Feet). • Consultant will physically tag all trees identified as having a “probable” or “imminent” likelihood of failure. • Consultant will provide the City a Tree Health Risk Assessment and Mitigation Report with the following: o Title Page o Executive Summary o Table of Contents o Introduction o Goals and Objectives o Explanation of data collection & tree inspection methodology – to include definition of tree risk classification system o Tree risk table identifying each tree having a “probable” or “imminent” likelihood of failure, genus/species/common name, DBH, overall risk rating, primary target, defect or observations, mitigation procedure recommendations. Table data will be created in an Excel spreadsheet o An ArcGIS map of identified high-risk trees having “probable” or “imminent” likelihood of failure o Conclusion/recommendations o Appendices o Glossary
