The intent of this RFQQ is to procure hazardous wildland fuels reduction services under one contract to reduce the risk of catastrophic wildfire on approximately 280 acres of private forested lands in the Trail priority landscape area. The area is located in the area of the Kalispel Indian Reservation in Pend Oreille County, Washington. A map of the overall landscape planning area is attached as Exhibit E. Specific georeferenced project area maps and unit prescriptions will be provided to the contractor by the assigned DNR service foresters on a project-by-project basis. Work will consist of vegetation clearing through tree thinning, tree pruning, chipping, and debris disposal by hand and/or mechanized equipment within the polygons identified in the specific georeferenced maps. Treatment units will also be bounded by pink flagging. The Contractor will provide supervision, labor, transportation, materials, equipment, and associated expenses for this fuel’s reduction project, while meeting all industrial fire precaution level restrictions.
