GEOGRAPHIC BOUNDARIES Community Transit provides transportation service in an area currently bounded by the following locations for its bus fleet: • North: Stanwood, WA. along Highway 532 and Highway 530 to Darrington. • East: Darrington, WA. on Highway 530 and Goldbar, WA. on US 2. • West: The boundary follows the western edge of Snohomish County and entering King County follows Interstate 5 to the downtown corridor of Seattle. • South: The boundary is Spokane Street in South Seattle. Community Transit’s vanpool and service vehicles currently travel within: • Skagit • Island • Snohomish • King • Kitsap and • Pierce County Note: Towing services may be required to locations outside of the geographic boundaries indicated above (see Section 3.08). *An example of this would be a vanpool vehicle that requires towing services that is not in the defined geographic zone. In the unlikely event this occurs, the same hourly rate would apply as shown on Form 7.04 Price Sheet. 3.05 OPERATING HOURS The successful proposer shall provide towing services in the form of labor and equipment to meet the needs of Community Transit seven days a week, 365 days a year, 24 hours a day. 3.06 RATES FOR SERVICE Vendor shall provide a fixed hourly rate for Class A, Class B and Class C towing as well as a flat rate and mileage fee for a Lock-Out or Tire Change Services. Proposer will also provide hourly rate for Winching, and a flat rate for Drive Line Disconnect Services. Calculation of hourly rates shall be predicated from time of arrival at the pick-up point to arrival at the drop off destination and delivery acceptance. No additional charges are to be assessed for required specialized equipment. Whenever a Vendor utilizes a larger truck than the towed vehicle warrants, the contractor shall charge fees based on the size of the towed vehicle not the size of the truck used. *Hourly rate will be billed in 15-minute increments rounded up to the nearest quarter hour. Examples: • 40-minute call = .75 hours • 1h 20 minute call = 1.5 hours 3.07 STANDARD TOW For standard tows, Community Transit will authorize payment for one tow vehicle and one operator. Additional tow vehicles and operators are only authorized if it is a mandatory requirement to have more than one.
