Specifications include, but are not limited to: Retreaded tires furnished under this specification are intended for short and occasional medium distance operations, various dump truck operations, some off-road operations, snowplow and sanding operations, and intra city transit and para-transit operations. Used front tires are retreaded to traction type tread and used on non-steering axles. Front tires are replaced at 4/32-inch. The tire retreading service is to include the preliminary inspection of used tire casings, pick-up of casings, a detailed inspection of casing at their retread plant, repairs to casings, retreading of casings, and the return delivery of retreaded tires. The contractor shall be liable for any and all City of Everett owned tires while they are in his possession. The successful bidder will load and transport casings for retreading (casings which have passed the preliminary inspection) at any of the City of Everett’s shop locations at no cost. Minimum quantity and frequency of pickup of casings to be retreaded will be mutually agreed upon.
