Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Transit Division of the King County Department of Transportation (Metro Transit) has periodic needs for a variety of quantitative and qualitative research services. This Request for Qualifications (RFQ) is being done to establish a pre-approved research consultant pool that will provide the Transit Division with the capability and flexibility necessary to respond to research needs in a timely manner, on an as-needed basis. The desired outcome is to have a pool of both full-service research firms and specialists in specific research areas available for projects as needed. Assignment, coordination and administration of these contracts will be the responsibility of Transit's Research and Management Information (RMI) group. This group is responsible for customer research and evaluation support for transit service, facilities and products. There are two categories of research projects: 1) survey or observational research, and 2) focus group research. In each category, consultants can submit qualifications to be considered for a subset(s) of service elements for which the firm is best qualified or submit qualifications to be considered as a full service research firm
