2.1 Introduction A. The purpose of this Invitation to Bid (ITB) is to establish multiple contracts for silvicultural services including tree planting, vegetation management, pre-commercial thinning, and other forestry-related services. Services will be on an as-needed basis for King County Department of Natural Resources and Parks. B. Parks will assign, review, and approve all work before it is conducted. The contractors shall report to the Parks-designated Project Manager (PM) for each work order. The King County Forester (‘’Forester”) represents King County as project manager and is responsible for ensuring the Contractor complies with all contract conditions. The Forester may delegate responsibilities to other King County staff or consulting foresters. 2.2 Locations A. Services will take place on several County-owned parcels. Most sites will be within the middle third of King County, approximately east of Lake Washington and west of Exit 34 on the I-90 corridor, extending north and south to the County boundaries. Some projects may take place in more urban areas in the west and south County, and several projects will also take place on Vashon Island, which is accessible only by ferry from West Seattle, Tacoma, and Southworth.
