The selected security service provider will be responsible for the following duties and tasks at two county facilities. 1. Access Control: Monitor and control access to the courthouse, courtrooms, and BOCC public meetings, ensuring that only authorized personnel and visitors enter the premises. 2. Surveillance: Maintain surveillance of key areas within the courthouse, courtrooms, BOCC meeting areas, and county offices during business hours using state-of-the-art security equipment. Access to the camera system may be granted to authorized personnel during these hours. 3. Emergency Response: Collaborate with county staff to assist in the implementation of the current emergency response plans outlined in the county's policy. This includes assisting in drills and providing immediate assistance during emergencies according to established procedures. 4. Patrols: Conduct regular patrols throughout the courthouse to deter criminal activity and maintain a visible security presence. 5. Public Screening and Entry Management: The security service provider will be responsible for screening all individuals entering the courthouse to detect prohibited items and ensure adherence to courthouse rules and regulations. Duties include managing the single-point entry system, which involves overseeing public screening, controlling access, and monitoring entry point activities to maintain a secure environment. The provider will also be required to operate the X-ray screening machine and walkthrough magnetometer, with training provided by Clallam County. Additionally, the provider must support the seamless integration of the single-point entry system into the courthouse’s overall security operations and collaborate closely with County personnel during the implementation phase, adapting security protocols as necessary. 6. Report Generation: Maintain accurate incident reports, daily activity logs, and other necessary documentation. Reports should be submitted at least weekly to the Chief Corrections Deputy in the Clallam County Sheriff's Office. 7. Collaboration: Collaborate with local law enforcement agencies, Courtroom Commissioners and Judges, and emergency services when required.
