Specifications include, but are not limited to: • Feasibility Study for reconfiguring Monorail stations: - At WLC past alterations have limited current capacity. Currently, the Blue and Red train beams are too close to each other to allow two trains in Westlake Center Station at the same time. There is also limited and restricted platform space and inadequate vertical connections to the Westlake Transit Station below. Consultant team will provide 3 concepts for improving WLC with concept level cost estimates and construction timelines. - At Seattle Center, study integration of station into surrounding campus and develop recommendations for optimal 360 degree visibility and access. Include support spaces such as office area and train maintenance area. Consultant team will provide 3 concepts for improving Seattle Center station with concept level cost estimates and construction timelines. - Final study shall include the work of other consultants with your own to create drawings, calculations, and/or sketches and concept construction estimates, possible phasing and construction schedules for both stations. • Evaluation Report that includes the following: - Proposal of solutions for reconfiguring the stations to increase capacity, balance throughput between stations, improve passenger flow and ADA accessibility, and enhance the passenger experience. In addition, the Consultant shall develop strategies for integrating new ticketing point of sale and access control equipment at each station, while creating a cohesive patron experience between both stations.
