Specifications include, but are not limited to: Consulting firms with expertise in Civil Engineering Design. The agreement is for approximately September 2019 through February 2020 with the option for the City to extend it for additional time and money if necessary. The existing signalized intersection has a dedicated left turn lane on the west leg only, with combined through and left turn legs at the other three legs. Daily traffic volumes entering the intersection exceed 19,000 vehicles. The proposed improvements consists of intersection channelization improvements to allow concurrent north-south left turn lanes and improve signal sequencing, including signal modifications, drainage, HMA pavement, curbing and sidewalk/path improvements. Design work to include topographic survey, geotechnical evaluation, environmental documentation, preparation of permit applications, determination of right of way needs and right of way plan preparation (if needed), channelization plan for WSDOT approval, and signal modification design.
