Specifications include, but are not limited to: Upon receipt of a referral from the SCC, the contactor shall assign an expert in digital forensic investigations to identify and copy forensic evidence from digital or electronic media provided by the SCC, while ensuring that its work in creating a copy of the digital evidence does not alter the original digital media and thus, ensuring that the evidentiary value of the digital evidence and chain-of-custody is maintained throughout the process and documented at all times. The contractor shall perform a forensic analysis using the copy of the digital evidence and, upon completion of the forensic analysis, the contractor will submit necessary documentation to the SCC, including compiled evidentiary data along with a report of findings. If requested by the SCC, the contractor will provide expert testimony with respect to its investigation. The Services may also include consulting services in the area of digital forensic investigation.
