Specifications include, but are not limited to: Provide Mental Health Services in the Juvenile Detention Facility. The King County Department of Adult and Juvenile Detention (DAJD)’s Juvenile Division seeks to contract for mental health services provided within the juvenile detention facility to advance the mental and emotional well-being of young people in custody. The Contractor will support the daily operations of the Juvenile Division with assessments, screenings, and a wide array of culturally responsive therapeutic interventions and mental health treatments. The Contractor will also deliver training to facility staff in best practices and methods to promote supportive interactions based on individual youth needs. While not directly responsible for the safety and security of youth in custody, the Contractor will be expected to provide feedback regarding how security staff may reduce assaultive or threatening incidents in the facility.
