Specifications include, but are not limited to: A. Assist the Executive and the Council in developing strategy and a work plan to achieve the County’s objectives in the areas of public health, health care access, behavioral health, affordable housing, and childcare access. The objectives include: increase state funding for Public Health – Seattle & King County; establish a statewide program to provide subsidized access to health care for low-income Washingtonians, regardless of citizenship status; support the King County Integrated Care Network’s implementation of fully integrated managed care; increase funding and policy changes necessary to expand access to affordable, quality child care; increase funding and revenue tools for affordable housing and community behavioral health services; and provide strategic consulting on policy development and implementation for the following issue areas: • Implementation of 2021 SB 5476, addressing the State v. Blake decision. Specifically, ensure King County is integrated into the implementation of the legislation and planning for potential next steps.
