Yakima Valley College is requesting bids to assist in the search for our new college president. Following are the details we would like assistance completing. • Search Development and Support o Conduct pre-search visits and collaborate with trustees to define the position’s key requirements o Partner with trustees and Human Resources to form a community search committee and design the search process o Offer training and workshops for trustees to minimize bias and ensure ethical practices o Provide ongoing support to the search chair and committee, including technology support for meetings and website management • Search Liaison and Guidance o Deliver regular progress reports and guide trustees on best practices for a confidential search o Act as a liaison between the college and candidates, updating on application statuses and process • Recruitment and Interview Process o Craft position announcements and manage advertising o Address market and cultural factors to attract a diverse candidate pool o Ensure equity and inclusion in the search process, actively seek candidates from minorityserving institutions o Execute a nationwide search with targeted outreach and utilize a proprietary database for candidate engagement o Screen applications, conduct reference checks, and handle background verifications
