Specifications include, but are not limited to: a.Workplace Readiness Training(1) Training to acquire or enhance commonly expected skills thatemployers seek from most employees. Workplace readiness skills area set of skills and behaviors that are necessary for any job,sometimes called soft skills, employability skills, or job readinessskills.(2) Workplace readiness training experiences shall be based on theStudent’s areas of vocational interest, as coordinated andcollaborated between DVR and the school to align with High Schooland Beyond Plan and or IEP employment goals.(3) For students aged 14-21.b.Self-advocacy Instruction(1) Instruction regarding an individual's ability to effectively communicate,convey, negotiate or assert their own interests and/or desires. Self-advocacy instruction may include Peer Mentoring.(2) Self-advocacy training experiences shall be coordinated andcollaborated between DVR and the school to align with High Schooland Beyond Plan and/ or IEP employment goals.
