Specifications include, but are not limited to: Administrative Building: • Only build what is required to manage to budget and schedule, recognizing that any dollar not spent on administrative and office space at 1501 Market is a dollar that can be spent supporting Justice Services at the County-City Building Campus • Design to compliment remote work with emphasis on hoteling and shared spaces • Create reserved rooms, collaboration spaces, and private rooms for meetings or private calls. • Eliminate barriers among departments as appropriate • Outfit hotel spaces to standard setup, as much as possible. • Concentrate customer service and public access on the first floor. • Employee spaces to be secured via access control. • Open Environment and Footprint to minimize costs and promote clean building concepts: ▪ Natural Light ▪ Open spaces ▪ Replace lighting with LED if cost effective. • Standardize Office spaces and cubicle design, utilize existing furniture where possible. • No color customization unless required. • Use technology and shared resources such as copiers and workrooms as much as possible. • Finish level (paint, carpet etc) like college or other government office buildings. Justice Center Improvements • Use 2021 Justice Center Study for initial identification of needs. • Remodel vacated spaces as required for Justice Center focus. • Promote Customer Service functions onto first and second floor main hub. • Promote remote work/access to Justice services where feasible.
